Yet another great Rock Band has got my attention, They are called Winchester Rebels, I came accross them on Twitter as a follow! Well I listened to the band on their own website and I must say that I am impressed with the sound that they produce, The band was formed in 2009 and are Nick Hunt(front man), John Livergood (Bass),and Nick Fitzgerald (Guitar) ,Barry Carter ( Drums), They have a good driving sound with a good selection of riffs on Bass & Lead Guitars coupled with great vocals. Songs include " Down, "Private Angel, "Snake, "Johnny, "Loaded gun, and much more songs etc, If you have not heard this band , Then go and listen to them , You won't regret it !
Ah,I have just noticed a girl band called STOOSHE ! The girls are funny, sexy, and they sing and dance' I found the video on their website very entertaining indeed, These Three girls are going to be big so Watch out for them! Their song Called love me featuring Travie McCoy is a commercial pop song that is catchy and interesting, Should be a hit!
Please look out for yet another great band called The Mutineers, They are from Manchester and on hearing them on you tube I am impressed with the full sound that they have as only a four piece band! The band consists of James Mullins on Vocal & Guitar, Michael Reed on guitar, Iwan Gronow on Bass, Charles Salt on Bass, And Jack Mitchell on drums, Their debut single ( Infidelity) is a song that is well written and is well played musically, Well worth a look on you tube! The only thing that cofuses me is that two Bass players are listed on facebook page ?
Yet another follow on twitter! The Worshyp Heavy Rock band from Toronto, Canada, Have made my ears turn up and listen! The Band has a great driving sound with great sounding vocal power and some great riffs, Coupled with some great lead guitar solo's and riffs, The band is in a league of their own! Formed by Marz Nova ( Singer Guitarist ) the other members are Thor Rune ( Guitar ), Mig Diablo ( Bass ) & KK Devina ( Drums I think ) Debut album is Kingdom Earth, The new album is Evil Abounds, These guys are worth a listen ,So check them out on you tube, We are going to hear a lot more from this great band ! Songs are ,Thunderman, Seven deadly sins, & the graveyard, Is just a few of the songs that you will hear,So do yourself a favour and hear this band out!
Got a follow on twitter from a guy called Nickolucky, So I decided to take a look at his work on you tube, He is a Good singer and plays the guitar well, I was pleasantly surprised at his song called Don't waste my time! The song is a commercial sound and I think we will be seeing a lot of this great artist, Go check it out on you tube!
The recommended album of the month is Chris Isaak, Beyond the sun, With titles like, Ring of fire, Great balls of fire, Oh pretty woman,and That lucky old sun, are but a few of the songs on this great album, This one is different to his other albums, We normally hear him sing songs like Silly game and Blue Hotel, But this one brings back a bit of nostalgia to the fold, It's Great !
I got a follow from a band on Twitter called Luminoth! So I thought I would investigate to see what they were all about ' Boy Did I have a nice surprise! The Band are from Knoxville ,TN, They are a progressive Rock band and are very talented indeed! The sound is exciting with heavy Drums and great guitars with a deep rich bass, And to top it all their vocals are great, The band is made up with Adam Henry (Guitar & Vocals) John Springer(Bass & Vocals) Jason Henry (guitar) and Paul McGee ( Drums) Songs are , The Journey, Running with scissors, Pacemaker,Pluto, and The Tide. Their songs are a breath of fresh air to the music industry! So Watch out for these guys, They are going to be BIG !
Hi,Youtube has got a lot to answer for!, I was just watching a video of Danielle Lowe, Tittled Cute boy, What a nice song that is, It has a happy sound to it, It is a well written song with good lyrics, And the guitar playing is nice too , So If you have not listened to this artist , I sugest that you do it right now! While looking at youtube today, I came accross a video that totaly gobsmacked me, It was of Antoiette Costa and Kevin "KO" Olusola Perfprming a song called Void of Legend' Wow! She has a beautiful voice that captivated my ears and the thing is that the cello played by Kevin Olosola was fabulous, As I listened , Sudenly a great solo was played on the Cello, Wow it blew me away !
I don't believe what I just read on my Google+ feed, Some plank recons that Jazz musicians play 3,000 chords to 3 people,and Rock musicians play 3 chords to 3,000 people, I am bloody furious, I am a Rock musician and have played a good lot of songs that have a lot more than 3 chords, This person evidently does not know a lot about music or he would not insult my intelligence and Rock Musicians like Brian May or Eric Clapton to name but a couple, So mate whoever you are learn to play a guitar and then think about what you said ! Did you see Cher Lloyd on Daybreak? She was so polite, Since the X factor , She has improved so much, Her music has definitely changed for the better since she dropped the rapping , Her new single ( I want you back ) It looks like she will be in the top 40 once again sounding even better ! Dear Cher please don't go back to rap! You sound better without it ! Cher looked rather nice on the show this morning and is showing us her true potential, Well done Cher .
Ever since the X factor produced Littlemix, They have made the biggest impact since the Spice Girls the only fact being that Littlemix sing 100% better than the Spice Girls, They are cute, sexy, and they have very powerful voices, Please girls, Don't make the same mistake as what a lot of girl bands do by getting so big headed that they end up breaking up, We want you just the way you are, So please don't change, You are all lovely , xxxx.
Through the years there have been many great artists with great musical ability's, Just yesterday , As I was walking around a large garden centre, The who came on their radio, The song was called Substitute! I then suddenly realised that the artists and bands have changed a lot over a period of time, For example look at the pictures of the Rolling Stones, The difference now to when they were young is so outstanding' Now look at the pictures of David Bowie, He had so many different ways of how he looked it was hard to know what he would look like the next time that you would see him, Blondie had a great music career but they have really changed, Although Debbie Harry looks sexy even she has changed! Then take Coldplay , Their pictures show a change only after a relatively short time in their musical life,Isn't it a strange thing ! I wonder how artists like JLS or One Direction or Katy Perry will look like in a few years time !
I have mentioned plenty of female singers on this blog, But my favourite Artist is Lady Ga Ga, She has not made 1 bad record yet,And with songs like Just Dance, Paparazzi, Bad Romance etc, She can not go wrong ! With her fabulous clothes and make up, She really is the business !
Congratulations to Adel who was nominated for 6 Grammy awards and she won all 6 of them, Well done my love, Songs like, Someone like you and Rolling in the deep makes her an outstanding artist in her own right !
Its not often that you find a singer like Jessie J, She has a powerful voice that you just can't ignore, Her new song Domino, is a pounding exciting song, And she is so sexy in her video she makes you want to jump up and dance! Fantastic costumes and make up makes her very hard to not watch !
Today we heard the news about the death of the fabulous Whitney Houston, I am almost lost for words,But I will try! Whitney was born in1963 and became one of the best singers of all time, She will be sadly missed by all the music industry and all her fans, Whitney topped the record charts with songs as,I wanna'dance with somebody , I will always love you from the film the Bodyguard, And love will save the day just to mention a few, Whitney , We will always love you, RIP xxx
